USING XENE
XENE is a music discovery service that brings together information and playable media from independent artists, labels, publishers, and third-party platforms. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to consent under the laws where you live. If you are not the age of legal majority, a parent or guardian must agree for you.
You may use XENE only in compliance with these terms and applicable law. Availability, features, and supported platforms may change as the service develops.
ACCOUNTS
You are responsible for access to your email account and for activity under your XENE account. Keep your sign-in links and connected-platform credentials secure. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
THIRD-PARTY MUSIC & SERVICES
XENE links to, embeds, or displays content supplied by services such as SoundCloud, Bandcamp, YouTube, Beatport, Twitch, artists, labels, and publishers. XENE does not own that third-party content. Its availability, playback, purchases, and use are governed by the source platform’s terms. Links do not imply endorsement.
Do not use XENE to bypass access controls, download content without permission, infringe rights, or violate a platform’s terms. If content is removed or restricted at its source, it may stop appearing or playing in XENE.
YOUR CONTENT & FEEDBACK
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give XENE a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. You confirm you have the rights needed to submit it. Feedback may be used without restriction or payment.
ACCEPTABLE USE
- Do not break laws or infringe intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity rights.
- Do not probe, attack, overload, scrape at scale, or interfere with XENE or its users.
- Do not upload malware, impersonate others, manipulate rankings, or automate abusive activity.
- Do not resell access, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, or evade safeguards.
XENE’S RIGHTS
The XENE name, visual system, software, interfaces, and original content are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the service under these terms, no rights are transferred to you.
SERVICE AVAILABILITY
XENE is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, any specific discovery result, or continued availability of third-party content.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, XENE and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid XENE in the prior 12 months or US$100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
SUSPENSION, DELETION & CHANGES
You may stop using XENE at any time and can delete your account through Settings or our deletion page. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect XENE, other users, third-party services, or the law. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date, and we will provide additional notice when legally required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised terms.
GOVERNING PRINCIPLES
Applicable law determines your non-waivable consumer rights. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited. Any dispute should first be raised with us so we can try to resolve it informally.
